The Arden Group
The Arden Group was established in 1989 by Craig A. Spencer as a fully integrated real estate company that acquires, develops and manages high quality real estate assets with a focus on full service hotels and Class A office properties. The Company’s portfolio has included more than $2 billion of real estate with over 4 million SF of office buildings, 4 and 5 star hotels encompassing over 3,000 rooms and over 3,200 acres of commercial and residential land. Arden Group’s asset management group has managed more than $6 billion in assets throughout the United States. The Arden Group is a prime company in building luxury and continued to do so with the building of The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia. These 5-star condominiums in Philadelphia are what make Center City living in Philadelphia so enjoyable. In late 2011 Craig launched Arden Real Estate Partners, a discretionary Real Estate Fund with $300 million in purchasing power. Target asset classes include full service hotels and Class A office buildings located in the top 20 markets in the United States.
In addition to leading Arden Group, Craig has participated in several non-real estate ventures including the 1998 acquisition and subsequent sale of Admiralty Bank to Royal Bank of Canada in February 2003. He is also a founding board member of Anchor Commercial Bank based in Palm Beach, Florida.
Craig was Founder/Co-Owner with Jon Bon Jovi of the Philadelphia Soul Arena Football Team. In its five-year history, the Soul was the most successful team in the league and the 2008 World Champions. Craig and Jon also established and are the Co-Chairmen of the JBJ Soul Charitable Foundation, which has provided 352 housing units along with educational programs to homeless men and women and most recently opened its first Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ.
Founded in 1987, Gencom is one of the nation’s leading domestic and international investment and development firms specializing in hospitality and residential real estate sectors. It is a fully-integrated, highly diversified industry leader with expertise in every aspect of the development, acquisition and asset management of hospitality properties. Since 1997, affiliates of the company have invested more than $2 billion in thirteen luxury hotels, resorts and luxury residential projects, and remain one of the largest owners of Ritz-Carlton properties.

The luxury and mixed-use projects fall primarily under The Ritz-Carlton flag, and are located in world-renowned destinations and high-demand markets. Gencom’s portfolio has consisted of investments in the United States, Caribbean and Europe including Ritz-Carlton hotels and residences in Key Biscayne, Philadelphia, Coconut Grove, Bachelor Gulch, Kapalua and Rancho Mirage.
